Curious if you seal the rosewood fretboard after drilling the holes with urethane or anything, just skimmed thru, at work, will watch in detail afterwards.

firstly❤, I don't like the body shape way too pointy, I don't like master vol, master tone layouts if there are 2 pickups there should be at least a vol for each! but most guitar makers do it?? my local tech converts any guitar I buy! right that's just my preferences out the way! 1 you didn't do it black 1st to pop the flame, it isn't always necessary, 2nd it's STUNNING! SO VIBRANT! THAT PURPLE SETS IT OFF!

What did you use for dot inlay..tranparent?

Why would there be interference? Firstly, it's DC current, so more or less constant and thus not inducing. Secondly, while it might itself pick up environmental noise, it is not connected to the audio circuit (might be different for active pickups) and also, there is both a plus and a minus wire, parallel to each other. Thus, noise would cancel out.

Darn. No wonder they charge 780 Euros to do this on SIMS. Hard work, but worth it.

I would worry about the neck radius shaping and hitting the LED's but like the general idea. Maybe I'll do this on the next one.

This would look amazing with black pickup covers. I am not familiar with the Mayhem pickups (I usually roll with the Custom Duncan or the JB with a neck pickup matched to the body wood) but I know the covers can be tone thiefs on high output pups. But then you might have to change the name from “Sirius” to “none more black” 😂 Great stuff! Those of us making the jump from mods/upgrades to builds would really benefit from a tips and tricks vid series.

I am not one for novelty bodies, but this is impressive. Is it just me or did you match the fretboard stain to that body? The inlay dots also have a Dino-egg type feel. The little details like that really elevate it. How does it play? Looks like it would feel similar to a Flying V body wise.

Beautiful guitar. The inlay work is a nice touch. I also like the choice to default humbucker to single coil in the neck. The best of both worlds IMO. Impressive build.
